SSBA "Clutch Shooter" Summer Program

When the game is on the line and a team needs a basket in the closing seconds, they need to get the ball in the hands of their best shooter. The ability to succeed in these situations does not come overnight; it is a skill that players can develop through hard work. This skill is sometimes referred to as "Clutch Shooting".

The SSBA "Clutch Shooter" program will allow participants to get repetitive shooting through a series of drills during 16 sessions over 8 weeks.  Participants will play the "Clutch Shooter" game each week in order to measure proficiency and progress.  Scoring averages will be tracked and posted for participants to view thorughout the summer program.

The sessions are designed to help participants become a consistently better shooter by shooting off the dribble, catching and shooting, and shooting free throws.  The goal will be for participants to get 500 to 600 shots per week in this program.
